it's hard for me to give in
been hurt and not yet healed
all this time my heart's been closed
to people who tried to love me
I've been so cold

i apologize for not feeling
that something you have for me
true enough i've been unfair
you've been so good all this time
you cared a lot and so do i

i know your hurt and i'm sorry
but soon or later don't you worry
i'm happy that you're there by my side
